Deep-Fried Heaven

So Thursday nights have become baking with Beischer night. Every Thursday, Jeffrey picks me up and we go to the grocery store, then go to his brother Alex's house and bake up something fabulous. I always choose what were baking based on what I find on StumbleUpon at 3 am when I should be sleeping. Baseball season just started and in honor of it, I decided to make funnel cakes because it was the most baseball oriented dessert I could think of. I got a great recipe off Food Network's website, courtesy of Emeril, one of my favorite chefs. Its surprisingly difficult to find a good funnel cake recipe because every one has the same basic ingredients (eggs, milk, flour, sugar etc.) but in drastically different proportions, so I had no idea which one would be best. Luckily, it worked out in our flavor (HA). We also made deep-fried Oreos. If you've never had a deep-fried Oreo, put it on your bucket list because they are exceptional. Its basically an Oreo dipped in funnel cake batter, fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar. I didn't use a recipe for this, I just kinda went for it and they turned out great. And I only burned myself with the hot oil a few times. Here are a few pics, Enjoy :)
